Had his life been terrible in south Korea? Heavens, no, but it had been terribly boring. While there was plenty of people and there was always someone to scratch his tummy it just wasn't fun. After awhile he just went numb to all the activity. Which was why he traveled all the way to Europe. It sounded crazy, probably because it was, yet it made the most sense to him. Europe had a lot of culture, right? Of course it did! A new land to explore coupled with a whole new culture to learn about. Well, just the thought was appealing. Not only that, but according to the gossip he'd overheard while traveling there was a bunch of groups that'd take animals in. Blizzardclan, shadowclan, windclan, some other sort of thing ending with clan. So there'd be fun, protection, and new animals to meet. If one of the clans let him join anyway.

Jang-Hwa shifted his paws so the snow wouldn't cause too much pain. He'd been traveling for so, so long, now he had to deal with the sensitive paw pads and exhaustion.

"My name's Kim Jang-Hwa," he responded cheerfully, "you may call me Kim." Western names were a bit odd. They usually called each other by the first name instead of the last, which seemed so invasive. His observant black eyes looked the bear over. Wow, he'd never seen one in person before. To be honest he didn't seem scary even if the bear was far mightier. "I wish to join if that's acceptable," he added quickly.

Jang-Hwa stretched a bit as Blake arrived. What a interesting fella. With the whole get up he looked like some sort of wizard or magician. He'd seen them a couple times on the television or through stories. Today was a day of firsts it seemed, with the bear and the odd magician fellow. The man was a weird looking cat too. Maybe the magician had broke out of a zoo? They often had feline-like animals there. "Ah, well, medical attention for my paws," was that asking for too much? He showed his irritated, raw paw pads with a sigh. The pain wasn't as bad now that he had a distraction. Still, they hurt.

A pleasant expression masked the burning as two others appeared. "Hello!"

Thank God everyone was so kind or he'd probably have folded under pressure and ran screaming. He just wasn't a brave guy. Actually Jang-Hwa was pretty brave, wasn't he? A coward wouldn't travel from one continent to another just for the heck of it. He just didn't like opposition too much and would probably avoid as much harsh vibes as possible. "If it isn't too much trouble," was his appreciative reply, "but I'll be okay." He was happy to see another canine, especially since Andi was so much similar to him. It made the otherwise foreign land feel closer.

Now, he didn't want to be impolite since western culture was a mystery to him, but the hug had caught him off guard. The first thought he could muster was about how rude the stranger was. Who just embraced someone they never met? Besides that, back home these things didn't really happen. Humans would often make weird noises at him to attract the Jindo when he was younger. Still, another animal acting in such a way? There was boundaries, an unspoken distance that was to be kept. This was Europe though, he had to keep that in mind. He had heard in some places they kissed each other in greetings. This almost seemed mild compared to the stories of obscene foreigners doing this and that. Imagine if they had been American. Honestly he ought to feel lucky. "Why, hello!" He chuckled in an attempt to hide his discomfort, "I-I, well, I'm Kim Jang-Hwa."

Mercifully his attention went to Spirit before nodding his head, "that is relief. I was afraid I'd have to keep walking, but no."

Sheryl approached and again he nodded. They even had straight up medics. This place seemed to be some sort of heaven. Hopefully the stairs led to someplace nice too.

Jang-Hwa watched the busy camp with interest, happy to see all the different species interact. He'd never seen so many unique animals in one place. Hell, he had never seen some of these animals before. For instance dragons were supposed to be mythical, not real, and yet there was a tiny cat-sized dragon chattering away. Tigers, bears, he'd seen them once when he snuck into a zoo, but dragons and griffins? Yeah they were definitely strange to see. Especially since they all looked so predatory. A couple times the Jindo had actually jumped when some large animal came up behind him. How else was he supposed to react when an actual lion roared? Apparently the proper response was to act completely natural. To say the least this was a culture shock.

With a harumph he rolled on to his side. The sunshine felt absolutely wonderful, but due to the foliage it wasn't overwhelming. His only complaint was the bandages around his injured paw pads. They were necessary so the raw skin wouldn't get infected, and so they could heal properly. Still, annoying.

Oh, the woman who had greeted him at the border! Flopping back onto his tummy Kim nodded, "it'd be hard not to when everyone's so kind." He was still getting used to clan life so remembering names wasn't one of his top priorities. Did he even get a chance to memorize it? As far as he could remember that was a solid no. "I don't believe I caught your name at the border," he cocked his head to the side, "is it... Edith? Abigail?" God did he plain suck at being funny.

Kim stretched his neck to look at Jerseyboy before simply sitting up. It'd rude to just keep sitting, wouldn't it? Now that he has a better look the smaller creature was wearing a bowtie. For being wild animals blizzardclanners sure did like human made accessories. With the magician looking fellow and now this guy. That wasn't his place to judge though, even if they looked silly. "Kim Jang-Hwa," He answered bluntly, not appreciating the gruff tone the stranger had. Manners, manners. His posture relaxed as he nodded to the stranger in a show of respect.
